The 18th century Chateau of Domaine de la Castille is in the Côtes de Provence. This 160-hectare estate has an enduring legacy of winemaking dating back two thousand years, when the Romans set foot on the Côte d’Azur. Today, it is home to the Diocesan Seminary of Fréjus-Toulon and hosts over 60 seminarians preparing to become 21st century priests.
Donated to the church by the Aubert family in the 19th century, it is now under the supervision of Jean-Jacques Soullie with Pierre Brissy as the Maître de Chai (winemaker) who practices “sustainable agriculture” on the 160 ha of the property.
Our rosé is a blend of 80% Grenache & 20% Cinsault. It offers the perfect balance between flavors & acidity. Apricot, peach & strawberries aromas from the Grenache are associated to the structure & the elegance of the Cinsault. It is the best friend of BBQ, fish dishes, spicy food and “apero aficionados”!
Provence roses rhymes with vacation, with the first warm sun rays, with that time when you allowed yourself to relax.
This wine combines all that we love and look for in a wine: elegance, balance & easy-going.
